Hunger Hopes got its start from Robin the Robin. She was left at birth and spent several years struggling to survive. It was not an easy task learning the ways of a bird, and not every bird out there is friendly and willing to help a struggling bird out.
Robin preserved and decided to make a change in the bird world. Robing decided in 2003 at the age of 3 to start an organization that would help save chicks like Robin that didn’t have much of a chance for survival.
Robin understood how important it was to create a support system that young birds could confide in when no one else was there for them. Robin understood that it wasn’t her fault that her mom wasn’t there for her, and she wanted to make sure every other young chick in the world understood it too.
Although Robin has deceased, her word has lived on through her organization, and we are proud to say we have carried out her wishes to a T.
